Gymnastics is the vehicle, English is the journey. Our founding philosophy since 2021

Founded in 2021, MIG has pioneered a unique educational method that differs from traditional classroom-based English education. Both our representative Coach Yu and Coach Shingo have experience teaching gymnastics overseas and naturally acquired English through their passion for gymnastics.

For children, sitting at a desk to study English can feel like a chore. But when they engage in gymnastics they love while hearing English, language acquisition happens naturally. We especially welcome children who feel anxious about English.

From an interview by StudyChain

Why teach gymnastics in English?

Both our director Ishihara and I have coaching experience overseas, and I couldn't speak any English at all until I went abroad myself. But I picked it up naturally through gymnastics — something I loved — rather than through textbook study. I wanted to give children that same kind of learning environment.

What if my child isn't good at English?

Our teaching emphasizes communication, and we start from the basics like "1, 2, 3, 4." It isn't an English-only environment — we follow up in Japanese whenever needed, so there's nothing to worry about.

What do you value most in your lessons?

Because we teach in English, it can look casual at first glance, but our coaching is in fact very disciplined. We're strict about the fundamentals — listening carefully to the teacher and observing good manners and etiquette.

A message to parents

The need for English keeps growing. To open up your child's possibilities, what matters most is an environment where they can enjoy English without feeling intimidated by it. We've created a space anyone can start in easily, so please come and try a lesson.
